DESCRIPTION

Parenting a teen or tween demands tremendous skill and yes…strategy. Yet most parents have little to no training…UNTIL NOW!

Patricia Brady & Associates is proud to present an interactive parenting workshop from MindsetGo called: How to Talk so Kids will Listen and Listen so Kids Will Talk

Overview:

Tired of having to repeat things? Do you wish your child would just listen and cooperate? Learn some of the best strategies for getting cooperation, using intrinsic motivators, making kids feel valued, and teaching kids whyyou want them to do things as opposed to what you want them to do. The program combines role playing, group discussion and dramatizations that offer techniques and tools to help families achieve better communication skills and family harmony.

This workshop focuses on in-depth problem-solving of current and anticipated future communication challenges parents are facing with their kids, in the areas of

  • Coping with negative emotion
  • Expressing strong feelings without harm
  • Promoting self-discipline
  • Praising effort and not outcome
  • Resolving family conflicts peacefully
  • Helping kids recognize what they need

Our parenting workshops provide a supportive, non-judgmental environment and offer strategies to foster impactful conversations with your children. Led by Mark Altman, participants will join a diverse group of parents who engage in skill-building activities, stimulating group discussion, and role-plays that simulate situations parents face every day. Improve your ability to support your kids throughout their adolescence and enjoy the opportunity to learn and expand your parenting skill set.

Learn new communication techniques you can apply in any situation to ultimately improve the whole family’s quality of life.
